Donald Trump Says UN Now Just a Social Club; He May Remove US from Money-Draining Org.

Implying that he may take action to withdraw the U.S. from the United Nations after he becomes President on January 20, 2017 because it has become just a "social club," Donald Trump today (December 26, 2016) wrote a Twitter tweet, vowing "Things will be different," when he is President, according to the Washington Examiner website.

"The United Nations has such great potential but right now it is just a club for people to get together, talk and have a good time. So Sad!" Trump wrote.

Trump's message comes following a UN Security Council abstention by the U.S. last week that allowed the UN to pass a resolution condemning Israel's settlements in the West Bank and parts of Jerusalem.

Trump also tweeted "Things will be different after January 20" [with respect to the United Nations]. The UN has been criticized by politicians and peace analysts in recent years for its failure to achieve peace on numerous occasions, and many believe the time has come to abolish the ineffective international  organization and its multi-billion dollar annual cost.
