4.6 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Southern Calif.; No Major Damage, Malibu Citizen's Wall Cracked

 A magnitude 4.6 earthquake struck near Malibu yesterday and was felt across a wide swath of southern California,  the LA Times website reports today (Feb. 10, 2024).


The earthquake was reported at 1:47 p.m.,  with an epicenter about two and a half miles northeast of Leo Carrillo State Beach, and about three miles northwest of El Matador State Beach. 


There were no reports of major damage. One caller in Malibu told KNX--AM there was shaking strong enough to toss items off a counter and cause a wall to crack.
