A young Israeli woman was killed and two others were injured in a stabbing attack in the West Bank today (November 10, 2014), the JTA (Jewish Telegraphic Agency) website reports.
The attack occurred early this evening at the Alon Shvut junction in the Gush Etzion bloc of settlements, where the three Israelis were waiting for rides.
The dead woman was identified as Dalia Lemkos, about 25, from the West Bank settlement of Tekoa. The others suffered light stab wounds.
The assailant -- who was shot and wounded -- has been identified by police as Maher Hamdi Hashalamum, 30, of Hebron. He is affiliated with the terror organization Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
