North Americans Must Be Partners with Global Church

More than 7,000 college students and others gathered in Phoenix, Arizona  for Urbana25Inter Varierty's  27th student missions  conference, where leaders reflected on how global mission is changing as Christianity's  center of gravity shifts toward the Global South, the  Christian Daily  website reports today(March 25, 2026).

According to conference director Mark Matlock, the  challenge facing  Norrth American Christians today  is not  simply finding new strategies for mission, but adopting a fundamentally different  posture toward the global Church. "I would really love to see North Americans seeing themselves more as equals to their brothers and sisters globally," Matlock said.

The challenge now is for North American Christians to see themselves as partners in a a polycentric  global mission movement, embracing mutuality and shared leadership with believers worldwide.
