President Biden today (August 18, 2023) announced the security and economic commitments following the first summit between the U.S., Japan, and South Korea, The Hill website reports.
South Korean President Yon Suk Yeol and Japanese Prime Minister Famio Kishita joined Biden at Camp David for the one-day summit.
The three leaders agreed to establish a hotline, where the countries will "share information and coordinate our responses whenever there is a crisis in the region or affecting any one of our countries," Biden said.
