"Dirty Jew" Painted on Judaica Store in France; Store Closed as Its Owners Were Visiting Israel

Graffiti reading "Dirty Jew" was spray-painted on a storefront of a Judaica store in the French city of Lyon, the Israel National News website reports today (October 20, 2019).

The store was closed at the time of the attack, while its owners were vacationing in Israel.

Neighbors of the store sent photos of the vandalism to the owners, who are now considering returning to France early in order to file a complaint with police.

France -- which has more Jews than any other country in Europe --  has been experiencing an exceptional amount of anti-Semitism during the past year.
