Three Suicide Bombers Hit Afghan Police Stations; At Least 6 Are Wounded, IS Claims Responsibility

Three suicide bombers and gunmen today (May 9, 2018) targeted several police stations in the Afghan capital, according to the UPI website.

The first bomber struck a police station in the western part of Kabul, according to Interior Ministry spokesman Najib Danesh.

Two different suicide bombers then struck the entrance of a police station in the city center, Danesh added.

Officials say at least six were wounded in the blasts, but that number is expected to rise. The Islamic State (IS) claimed responsibility for the attacks.
