Germany Arrests Teen Due to IS Communication; Syrian Refugee's Cellphone Has IS Suspect Links

Police in Germany have arrested a 16-year-old Syrian refugee in Cologne on suspicion of having links to ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria), the Euro News website reports today (September 21, 2016).

Authorities say an initial assessment pointed to a "serious threat."

Police say the contacts of suspects living abroad with possible links to ISIS were found on the young man's mobile phone.

The fact that more than a million refugees have settled in Germany during the past year has raised concerns over the nation's security.
