Boston School Dean Nabbed for Shooting Student; Shaun Harrison Also Charged with Drug Activity

A minister and former dean of students at The English High School of Boston was arrested on charges he ran a drug operation and shot a student "execution-style," the Big News Network website reports today (March 7, 2015).

Shaun Harrison, 55, pleaded not guilty to charges that include assault with intent to murder, aggravated assault and battery, and unlawful possession of a firearm. Authorities said Harrison ran a marijuana distribution ring and enlisted the 17-year-old victim, a student, to work for him.

Authorities added that Harrison lured the 17-year-old to a local street with the promise of drugs and girls. Harrison allegedly pulled out a handgun and shot the student in the back of the head. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and treated.

Harrison has long been highly regarded in the local community, lauded for his work as the school's dean of academy, a student-outreach coordinator, and minister. He was fired from his job at English High after his arrest.
