Some 140 suspected Islamic extremists were arrested by Russian authorities yesterday in a raid on a place of worship in southern Moscow, the Big News Network website reports today (April 27, 2013).
More than 30 of those arrested in Dar Ul-Arham were foreign nationals.
Members of Russia's Federal Security Service and police conducted the raid.
Suspected Muslim radicals -- some from Russia's predominantly Muslim-populated North Caucasus region -- have visited the site in the past.
